Alla salute, Milano! Adstream goes to Italy
You really can’t say we’re not a fashionably international crowd here at Adstream. As part of our European expansion we have opened another major international hub in Milan – and not only that, but we have also been mandated by both Sky and Discovery Italia in the process!
With the project headed up by Ricardo Parravicini, we successfully developed an interface that caters to the requirements of Italian broadcasters, allowing them to hold all commercials until they have been viewed and approved by their internal legal teams. So after a close technical partnership with Sky Italia, we are now able to take on all their commercial material, run it through a rigid quality control process, before Sky Italia then view and approve all material online. So we help them cut down on delivery times as well as waiting times for the legal checks for each commercial to be finished.
Adding to this, Discovery Italia have now followed suit, and we have launched exclusive digital delivery to all their Italian channels – with a twist: while all commercials are approved and realised in Italy, they need to be distributed to and broadcast from playout centres in both Italy and the UK – the former of which Adstream are of course perfectly positioned to take on!
So we’ve made two potentially complex and fraught processes simple and smooth, with great results all round.
